The Premise

Little Patch of Green follows the story of Hallie, a young woman who transforms a patch of green outside her house to improve the view for her mother who is unwell. In the process she becomes unlikely friends with a few neighbours, all of whom find comfort and purpose in developing the patch together.

This is a musical about community. It’s a story where true love is about the bond between a mother and her daughter, a community and their home.

Development

In July 2020 we premiered the title song of Little Patch of Green as part of Adam Lenson’s SIGNAL online series, with Jade Johnson as Hallie. In September 2021, we were invited to workshop Act 1 of the musical at the University of Winchester. In April 2022, we showcased two songs from the show at Cadogan Hall as part of Starling Arts’ Starling 10+ concert. We are currently working on finishing a first draft of the musical.
